Dunhuang 200MW/800MWh Standalone Energy Storage Project Fully Built

The local environment brings frequent sandstorms and extreme temperature swings between day and night, posing serious challenges for system reliability and thermal stability. To address this, Narada's 5MWh+ liquid-cooled storage solution uses IP67-rated protection for both critical electrical components and battery PACKs, backed by multi-tiered safety barriers that prevent dust intrusion and ensure consistent, secure operations. The intelligent liquid-cooling temperature regulation system, with a multi-stage variable-diameter piping design, keeps the temperature difference within each battery module below 3°C.

As energy storage capacity continues to grow in the region, Dunhuang is well positioned to evolve from a major wind-and-solar power base into an integrated demonstration hub combining wind, solar, hydrogen, and storage technologies. This transition is expected to create a replicable "Dunhuang Model" that can support the high-quality expansion of new energy infrastructure across Northwest China and beyond.
